Thomas B. Song represents California employers in both single plaintiff discrimination and wage-hour class and collective actions. He also specializes in OSHA compliance and litigation. As prior legal counsel to the Cal/OSHA Appeals Board, Song uses his unique background to provide tailored and effective advice regarding the myriad of California OSHA laws and compliance issues.
Song has successfully defended dozens of OSHA appeals before both the California Appeals Board and Federal Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission, achieving complete dismissals of Serious and/or fatality-related citations. He also is a seasoned litigation attorney, having prevailed on numerous motions to dismiss and summary judgment motions. Song also has extensive experience in petitioning for writs of mandate, and has argued before multiple California Courts of Appeal.
Prior to law school, Song was a commissioned officer in the U.S. Navy, and is a graduate of the Navy Nuclear Power Program. He completed multiple six-month deployments on both destroyers and aircraft carriers, and served as the foreign exchange officer to the Korean Naval Academy.
